My Birthday today…

When my alarm went off at 6.35 am, my husband wished me a happy birthday. It was like he was on the alert to be first to say it. All week, I thought of my mum and I had made a point of calling her to tell her it is my birthday. I usually don’t expect her to remember such because she has so many children. But she has an amazing memory. She remembers what time of day each one of us was born. And did I say we are many ? The reason why I wanted to call her was to ask her what time of day I was born.

Soon after breakfast, I received an sms from my elder brother, saying that mum wishes me a happy birthday, and he signed off by adding, “dad too.” I am kinda down, so it felt nice to hear from them today. I did an amazing interview last week, and they said they will get back to me this week. I wanted that job as my birthday present. I hope today or tomorrow I will hear from them. If not, life goes on, I will keep trying. But yeah, it is my special day today!!!
