Interview number 5(a), 5(b) and 5 (c) have already taken place. 5(a) is what I described here as amazing, for it was. And not just because it lasted two solid hours, but but but. Very many reasons that I will detail later. For those that are with me in prayer, please go on. Things are looking good.
5(b) happened yesterday, and took another 2 solid hours, during which, I met the head of the business unit. It was supposed to be an interview, yet I have no idea why he was telling me that he has 2 children, and that he needs to bond more with his neighbours. This, after he asked how well I am intergrating with the Swiss, and me telling him that I have been to coffee at my neighbours’ house, and them to mine. (He is British). Then, he goes on to enumerate some of the benefits the company offers, at which point, my head was getting lighter, and giddy upon hearing the words, ‘thirteenth month pay’, and ‘yearly bonus’.
During 5(b), I also met the ‘rest of the team’ and we had coffee, after which, I was asked to sit with one of the team members to hear and see him at work. My presence coincided with the teams’ move to a new refurbished wing in the building. And the good people took me to see their new abodes. The lady who took me around even showed me where the ‘new person’ will sit. All this while, I am asking myself, ” Why are you playing games with me?”
5(c) just happened, in the name of a web-based Psychometric test. This I did from home. How I hate those things! I always feel as though I am contradicting myself!
Believe it or not, 5(d) is already scheduled for next week. I am praying that all they will need from me is a signature, which I will give them with much pleasure.
I was telling my husband how badly I need this job. If you don’t read/understand kikuyu, find someone to interprete this for you. I cannot tell it any other way.
Mwari: “Nîma mangîhe wîra ûcio, ingîmarutîra wîra mamake. “
Mwari’s Husband : “Hakuhî ûmathabîrie ofici”
Mwari : ” îî ma “
However, they were quick to point out that all this, is very much ‘Our standard Recruitment Procedure’.
